Job summary

DSV is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader for the PM shift in Tamworth, Mon-Fri, 14:00-22:00. You will lead a warehouse team to ensure inbound, outbound, and internal activities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

You will promote high operational standards, support continuous improvement, and foster a positive work environment across warehouse processes through hands-on leadership and training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse.
• Knowledge of WMS systems and warehouse processes.
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and make confident operational decisions.
• Flexible and willing to support business needs when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse team during the PM shift.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Monitor productivity and performance, addressing issues promptly and fairly.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and operational standards at all times.
• Provide hands-on leadership and training to develop and motivate team members.
• Conduct shift briefings, allocate tasks, and monitor workflow to meet targets.
• Work collaboratively with other Team Leaders and Supervisors for smooth handovers.
• Manage stock control and investigate discrepancies when required.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, safe, and well-organized throughout the shift.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a positive team culture.
