Job summary

DSV is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the PM shift in Tamworth, ensuring inbound, outbound and internal activities are performed safely, accurately and efficiently. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives and coordinate daily operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, staff development, compliance with Health & Safety standards, and continuous improvement of processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse.
• Knowledge of WMS systems and warehouse processes.
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and make confident operational decisions.
• Flexible and willing to support business needs when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse team during the PM shift.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Monitor productivity and performance, addressing issues promptly and fairly.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and operational standards at all times.
• Provide hands-on leadership and training to develop and motivate team members.
• Conduct shift briefings, allocate tasks, and monitor workflow to meet targets.
• Work with other Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Operations to ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
