Job summary

Thirteen Group in the North East seeks a strategic Head of Talent, Learning & OD to lead talent, leadership, learning, organisational development and colleague experience. You will shape workforce strategy, leadership capability and succession, partnering with senior leaders to ensure the right people and skills for the future.

This is a hybrid role, working from home and our Middlesbrough office at Hudson Quay, with flexibility to come in when needed.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level experience leading talent, learning and OD in a complex org.
• Proven ability to develop leadership capability and succession planning.
• Strong data-driven approach to workforce insights and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for talent, learning, OD and colleague experience.
• Strengthen leadership capability and succession planning.
• Partner with leaders to improve organisational effectiveness and change.
• Support teams to navigate change and deliver customer outcomes.
• Ensure colleague experience remains central to talent strategy.
• Use data and insights to identify priorities and present recommendations.
• Develop leadership programmes and early careers pathways.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver joined-up solutions.
• Create a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Embed The Thirteen Way and values-led leadership.
