Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an experienced Talent Density & Growth Partner in London. You will partner with senior leaders and HR Directors to shape a high-impact talent agenda, strengthening leadership pipelines and future workforce capability across the Group.

In this hybrid role, you will drive career development, design succession plans, and lead talent mobility while translating insights into evidence-based decisions at the highest levels.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in talent management and development within a large organisation.
  • Expertise partnering with senior leaders and HR Directors to design strategic talent solutions.
  • Proven succession planning and leadership pipeline experience.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders and conducting psychometric debriefs.
  • Strong skills in interpreting talent data and workforce insights to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver a commercially grounded talent plan aligned to Group priorities and business needs.
  • Drive a culture of career development and skills mobility with targeted talent management solutions.
  • Strengthen leadership pipelines from Next Gen through to C-Suite via career pathways and coaching.
  • Identify pivotal roles and design plans to build, buy or develop capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Centre of Expertise to reflect local priorities in broader propositions.
  • Build view of talent demand/supply with People Partners and external benchmarking.
  • Develop executive bench strength and priority talent cohorts across senior leaders.
  • Provide targeted coaching for individuals on leadership development programmes.
  • Broker enterprise-wide talent movement and diverse succession pipelines.
  • Translate talent data into practical insights for senior leaders and HR Directors.

Hours: Full-time

Working Pattern:

About this opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Talent Partner to join our Group Talent team, partnering closely with senior business leaders and HR Directors to shape and deliver a high-impact talent agenda. This is a strategically important role focused on strengthening leadership pipelines, succession planning, talent mobility and future workforce capability. You'll connect business needs with the full breadth of Group Talent expertise, helping leaders make informed decisions that build talent density and organisational performance. What you'll be doing
  • Create and deliver a commercially grounded talent plan aligned to Group priorities and the specific needs of the business area.
  • Drive a culture of career development and skills mobility, crafting and delivering talent management solutions that align with business area needs.
  • Understand hiring needs and strengthen leadership pipelines from Next Gen through to C‑Suite through targeted career pathways, development, coaching and team effectiveness interventions.
  • Identify pivotal roles, capabilities and future skills, working across Centres of Expertise to design plans for building, buying or developing them.
  • Represent the needs of the aligned business unit within the Culture, Leadership and Talent team, ensuring broader propositions reflect local business priorities and talent requirements.
  • Work with People Partners to build a clear view of talent demand and supply, bringing external perspective and identifying actions to strengthen talent density.
  • Develop deep insight into executive bench strength, leadership potential and priority talent cohorts across the senior leadership population.
  • Provide targeted coaching and support for individuals on leadership development programmes, ensuring development aligns to business ambition and future leadership needs.
  • Broker enterprise‑wide talent movement and strengthen diverse succession pipelines for pivotal roles.
  • Support leaders to make evidence‑based decisions regarding capability, performance and potential.
  • Use market, business and external talent insights to shape how the Group attracts, develops, mobilises and retains key talent.
  • Deploy Group‑wide talent development programmes that improve performance, accelerate skills and build future leadership readiness.
  • Sponsor and deliver local talent initiatives that create measurable impact against strategic business goals.
  • Partner with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Team Effectiveness, Skills, Leadership and Coaching teams to strengthen leadership capability and bench strength.
  • Use talent intelligence and external benchmarking to create clear insight on leadership capability, succession planning and talent density.
  • Track and evaluate the impact of talent interventions, promoting continuous improvement and evidence‑based decision making.
  • Translate complex talent data into practical insight for senior leaders, HR Directors and People Partners.
  • Support talent programme nominations, assessments and internal mobility opportunities for high‑potential colleagues.#

What we're looking for
Essential requirements
  • Significant experience in talent management, talent development, succession planning or leadership development within a large, complex organisation.
  • Expertise in partnering with senior business leaders, HR Directors and executive stakeholders to design and deliver strategic talent solutions.
  • Proven expertise in succession planning, talent density strategies, leadership pipelines and global talent mobility programmes.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders and conducting psychometric assessment debriefs to support leadership and career development.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting talent data, workforce insights and external benchmarks to influence business decisions.
Desirable skills and experience
  • Experience within Financial Services or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of executive assessment methodologies and high‑potential talent identification programmes.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional talent initiatives involving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Skills, Leadership and Talent Acquisition teams.
