Job summary

Katie Bard is seeking a hands-on Talent and Development Manager to shape the L&D strategy and build a high-performing workforce in Birmingham City Centre. This full-time, permanent role is hybrid (2 days in the office) with a competitive £50-54k salary and comprehensive benefits.

You will lead performance frameworks, develop leadership programmes and manage the LMS and learning providers, partnering with managers to close skills gaps and plan succession across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing learning and development programmes.
• Experience implementing performance and competency frameworks.
• Proficiency with LMS and learning technology management.
• Strong coaching, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation’s Talent, Learning & Development strategy.
• Lead performance and development frameworks, including 1-to-1s, reviews and development plans.
• Design and deliver blended learning, leadership and professional development programmes.
• Develop competency frameworks, skills matrices and career pathways.
• Identify current and future skills gaps to support workforce planning and succession.
• Manage apprenticeships, qualifications, mentoring and coaching initiatives.
• Oversee the Learning Management System and mandatory/compliance training.
• Manage external learning providers and key stakeholder relationships.
• Measure L&D effectiveness through KPIs, feedback and business outcomes.
• Coach and advise managers on talent development and organisational capability.
