Job description

Optasia is a real-time financial intelligence company. We build precision intelligence that unlocks financial opportunity at scale, running millions of automated credit decisions every day across high-growth markets where formal credit data is limited. Our AI-powered platform turns permitted behavioural data and real-time signals into precise, responsible credit decisions. Embedded within the systems of telcos, banks, digital wallets and other partners, it helps them extend relevant financial services to more people while maintaining strong portfolio control and opens profitable new segments that were previously out of reach. This is how Optasia turns potential into financial progress, responsibly and at scale.

We are seeking an experienced hands‑on Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in the UK or Athens. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of recruitment experience, with strong expertise in technical hiring, headhunting, Boolean search, and recruiting across international markets, particularly Africa. This is a delivery-focused role, dedicated to filling vacancies through proactive sourcing and effective end‑to‑end recruitment.

What you will do
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through interviews, offer management, and successful placement.
  • Drive technical recruitment across engineering, software development, data, DevOps, AI/ML, and other technology‑related positions, and also corporate roles.
  • Conduct proactive headhunting and direct sourcing to identify and engage qualified candidates, particularly for hard‑to‑fill and business‑critical vacancies.
  • Use advanced Boolean search techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and other relevant sourcing tools to identify and attract talent.
  • Build and maintain active candidate pipelines across international markets, with a particular focus on Africa and other relevant geographies.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, assess candidate suitability, coordinate interviews, and maintain momentum throughout the hiring process.
  • Screen and evaluate candidates against job requirements, providing clear, evidence‑based feedback and recommendations.
  • Manage multiple vacancies simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet agreed recruitment timelines and hiring needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a professional and positive recruitment experience.
  • Manage recruitment activity and candidate records accurately within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), providing timely updates on pipeline progress and hiring status.
  • Support offer management and negotiations, working with relevant stakeholders to facilitate successful placements.
  • Monitor recruitment progress, proactively identify bottlenecks, and follow up with stakeholders to keep vacancies moving through the process.
What you will bring
  • Minimum 6 years of recruitment experience gained in‑house, within an agency, or across both environments.
  • Proven experience in technical recruitment, ideally within technology, fintech, telecommunications, or another technology‑driven business.
  • Demonstrable experience recruiting across African markets, including sourcing and engaging talent within relevant countries.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in headhunting, direct sourcing, Boolean search, and talent mapping.
  • Proven ability to recruit for hard‑to‑fill technical positions and engage passive candidates effectively.
  • Experience managing the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle across multiple vacancies and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, and other candidate sourcing tools.
  • Strong candidate assessment, interviewing, stakeholder management, and offer negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize competing demands, and maintain a high pace of recruitment delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility with candidates and hiring managers across different cultures and geographies.
  • Professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to candidate experience.
What Success Looks Like
  • Vacancies are filled efficiently and in line with agreed hiring priorities.
  • Strong, relevant candidate pipelines are developed through proactive sourcing and headhunting.
  • Technical and business hiring managers receive consistent, high‑quality recruitment support.
  • Recruitment processes move forward without unnecessary delays.
  • Candidates experience clear communication and a professional hiring process throughout.
