Job summary

MARI Group in London is seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor to lead end-to-end recruitment for our marquee events portfolio, including Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and Taste of London. You will partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to design recruitment strategies, run large campaigns, screen candidates, and manage the candidate journey from offer to onboarding.

Role requires a minimum of 3 years in TA, strong recruitment tooling experience (Workable, Worksome), and excellent

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in talent acquisition.
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting in events or entertainment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of TA best practices and recruitment tools.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and workforce management software.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end talent acquisition across portfolio of events.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Plan and execute large-scale recruitment campaigns to staff events.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews and coordinate interviews.
  • Maintain candidate records in Workable; build talent pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance for contractors and liaise with legal on IR35 and checks.
  • Provide recruitment metrics and post-event feedback for improvement.

About the Role

As the Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will be responsible for attracting and recruiting top talent for our high-profile portfolio of events and attractions, including Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, Hampton Court Palace Festival, the Chimney Lift, Taste of London and Glide. You will play a critical role in partnering with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to understand talent needs, develop recruitment strategies, and execute end-to-end recruitment processes.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates
  • Planning and execution of large-scale recruitment campaigns ensuring the right number of workers are recruited and in place prior to event opening
  • Utilise various sourcing strategies (e.g., job boards, social media, networking, referrals) to identify and engage with potential candidates
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate suitability and fit
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
  • Manage all aspects of the recruitment process, including interviews, assessment events, offer negotiation, and onboarding
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (Workable)
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs
  • For HPWW, contract workers and freelancers and liaise with legal to ensure compliance with IR35, Right to work checks etc.
  • For all other events engage workers through our Worksome platform
  • Develop and execute candidate retention and engagement strategies to increase the percentage of returning staff
  • Provision of management information and recruitment metrics to identify trends or issues that could have a business impact
  • Post event, collate performance data to inform re-hiring strategies, manage talent pools and produce worker feedback surveys for continuous improvement of the worker experience
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovative talent acquisition practices to continually improve recruitment strategies
What Success Looks Like:
  • Outcome #1 → Recruit and contract sufficient number of contingent workers to staff our events with clear recruitment plans and milestones in place
  • Outcome #2 → High quality candidates are recruited against agreed role profiles, with strong hiring-manager satisfaction and appropriate assessment processes for each role
  • Outcome #3 → Vacancies, drop-outs and shortfalls are identified early, with proactive pipelines and attraction campaigns reducing emergency recruitment and operational risk
  • Outcome #4 → Candidates receive timely communication, clear information and a consistent recruitment journey, resulting in positive candidate feedback and strong offer acceptance rates
  • Outcome #5 → Retention and engagement initiatives increase the percentage of returning event workers year-on-year, reducing recruitment volumes and associated cost
What You'll Own:
  • End-to-end talent acquisition across our portfolio of events an attractions, from workforce planning and attraction through to offer, contracting and onboarding
  • Building engaged pools of candidates and returning workers to reduce time-to-hire and strengthen our future contingent workforce
  • Candidate experience, ensuring every candidate receives a professional, engaging and consistent recruitment journey
  • Recruitment technology and data, ensuring Workable, Worksome and our workforce management platforms are used effectively and that recruitment information is accurate, timely and actionable
  • Continuous improvement, using data, candidate feedback and industry insight to continually improve how we attract, recruit and retain talent across the portfolio
What You Bring:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the events or entertainment industry
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and recruiting top talent
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition best practices and recruitment tools
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and workforce management software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Experience of supporting contingent workers on-site
