Job summary

Veolia is recruiting for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover in Cannock. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

You will manage the end-to-end recruitment process from posting to offer, collaborating with hiring managers to deliver quality candidates. The ideal candidate has recruitment experience in agency or in-house settings, with the ability to handle high-volume roles, build stakeholder relationships and source candidates via social platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in agency or in-house recruitment environments, preferably for operational/industrial roles.
• Experience handling high-volume roles and multiple vacancies simultaneously with quality.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers and partners.
• Sourcing and headhunting through social platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed and CV Library; Workday knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment from job posting to offer.
• Screen applications and shortlist candidates; maintain strong candidate communications.
• Use Workday ATS to progress recruitment activity and track hiring metrics.
• Build talent pools and proactively headhunt for hard-to-fill positions.
• Advise hiring managers on interview techniques and assessment methods.

Salary: 26,500 - 30,000 plus Veolia benefits

Location: Based in Cannock (WS11 8JP) with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home

What you'll be doing:

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from job posting to offer, collaborating closely with hiring managers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver quality candidates
• Screen applications and create shortlists of qualified candidates, while maintaining excellent candidate communications throughout to ensure a positive recruitment experience
• Utilise and maintain the applicant tracking system (Workday) to progress recruitment activity and track key hiring metrics including time to hire, cost per hire and source of hire
• Build and maintain talent pools for future requirements, proactively headhunting candidates through social platforms for hard-to-fill positions
• Provide consultative advice to hiring managers on best practice interviewing techniques and assessment methods to support effective decision-making
• Host and participate in job fairs and support continuous improvement projects within the Talent Acquisition team to enhance recruitment processes and outcomes

What we're looking for:

• Previous recruitment experience in either agency or in-house environments, with preference for candidates who have recruited for operational, engineering or industrial roles
• Demonstrated experience in high-volume recruitment environments with the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
• Proven ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with hiring managers and business partners
• Proficiency in candidate sourcing and headhunting techniques across social platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed and CV Library.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems, with Workday knowledge being advantageous
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative working skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
