TRP Recruitment Limited is seeking a Womenswear Tailoring Designer for a well-established UK supplier serving leading high street retailers. You will bring a strong tailoring background, trend-led handwriting, and a commercial mindset to a fast-paced design team in London.

You will translate trends into commercially viable collections, collaborate with sales and technical teams from concept to production, and present ideas to buyers.

Responsabilidades

We're currently working on an exciting opportunity for a creative, fashion-forward Womenswear Tailoring Designer. Our client is a well-established and respected womenswear supplier to some of the UK's leading high street retailers. They're looking for a designer with a strong commercial mindset, excellent trend awareness, and a distinctive, trend-led handwriting to join their busy design team.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment and would suit someone who lives and breathes fashion. You will have a strong personal sense of style, be immersed in current and emerging trends, and have the ability to translate these into commercially successful collections. Working within a busy design team, you will play a key role across tailoring, contributing creatively while working efficiently and confidently under pressure.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Designing trend-led, commercially focused womenswear collections with a strong emphasis on tailoring garments
• Developing seasonal ranges tailored to key UK high street retailer profiles and customer expectations
• Conducting detailed trend research and confidently translating insights into sellable product
• Working closely with sales and technical teams to take designs from concept through to production
• Presenting collections and ideas clearly and confidently to internal teams and external retail clients
• Continuously tracking global fashion, fabric and silhouette trends to ensure collections remain fresh and relevant
• Supporting the sampling process where required, ensuring design integrity and commercial viability
• Attending client meetings, demonstrating strong product knowledge and creative direction

Person specification:

• Proven experience in womenswear tailoring and woven design, ideally within a supplier environment
• A creative, trend-led handwriting, with a portfolio that shows it
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret trends for the high street market
• Confident, professional communicator, comfortable presenting to buyers and stakeholders
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines in a very busy environment
• A proactive, hands-on designer who can take initiative and hit the ground running
