JAM seeks a Systems Integration and Development Engineer to support iterative R&D for tactical edge gateway solutions. The role focuses on range extension and sensor integration, onboarding COTS hardware and software, and delivering tests and assurance evidence.

The position is full-time on site in Bristol with occasional end-user engagement and potential overseas travel as the project evolves. Strong integration and testing experience is essential.

• Proven experience delivering systems integration in complex environments.
• Strong systems engineering capability: requirements, architecture, interface management.
• Practical experience integrating COTS hardware, software and networks into repeatable solutions.
• Ability to develop and test tactical edge gateway solutions with range extension and sensor integration.

Mansioni

• Coordinate design, development, integration, testing and documentation across stakeholders.
• Translate user stories into technical tasks and acceptance criteria.
• Develop, integrate and configure tactical edge gateway solutions using COTS tech.
• Support integration of radios, routers, sensors and Bearers of Opportunity.
• Produce and maintain solution architectures, BOMs, work instructions and test evidence.
• Plan and execute integration, functional, performance and interoperability tests.
• Identify and manage faults, risks and change requests.
• Support governance, assurance, safety and release activities.
