BAE Systems in Filton is seeking a Systems Integration and Development Engineer to lead the integration and development of next-generation tactical edge gateway solutions. You will coordinate activities across design, development, integration, testing and delivery, translating operational needs into actionable engineering tasks.

The role requires strong systems engineering skills, experience with COTS hardware and networking, and familiarity with tactical radios, gateways and sensors.

Formación

• Proven experience in systems integration and development within defence or complex networks.
• Strong systems engineering knowledge: requirements, architecture, interface management, verification.
• Experience integrating COTS hardware, software and networking services.
• Good understanding of IP networking, routing and secure designs.
• Experience with tactical radios, gateways or sensors is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Leading and coordinating engineering activities across the design, development, integration, testing and delivery lifecycle.
• Translating user requirements, stories and operational needs into practical engineering tasks and deliverable solutions.
• Developing, integrating and configuring tactical edge gateway solutions using COTS hardware, software, networking, virtualisation and containerisation technologies.
• Integrating tactical radios, routers, sensors and alternative communications bearers to deliver interoperable and scalable solutions.
• Developing and maintaining technical architectures, interface definitions, configuration records, bills of materials and engineering documentation.
