Trinity Church of England/Methodist Primary School in Buckshaw Village, Chorley seeks a Teaching Assistant (TA2B) for maternity cover. The role supports children’s learning with a caring, enthusiastic approach and reinforces high standards across the curriculum within a Christian environment.

The post is part-time (28.75h/wk TA2B, 2.5h/wk Welfare) and paid pro rata to the full-time equivalent. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance apply; closing date 7 Oct 2026.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification appropriate to the post.

Summary We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support children's learning within our school. We are seeking someone who is knowledgeable, hardworking, enthusiastic and caring. You will reinforce the high standards across the whole curriculum and be supportive of the distinctive Christian ethos of a church school.

Trinity Church of England/Methodist Primary School opened in September 2010 and became a 3FE school over two sites in September 2017. We need a team player, who must also have the ability to communicate well and build positive relationships with all in the school community. This post is for maternity cover and is required for one year or until return of the postholder.

TA2B - 28.75hours per week, Grade 5. Welfare - 2.5 hours per week, Foundation Living Wage.

This position is part time, term time + 5 inset days (TA2B). The salary quoted is full time equivalent of the TA2B role. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
