Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a specialist education setting in East Suffolk, supporting secondary pupils with SEMH. You will cover lessons when required, support learning across the curriculum, deliver targeted interventions, and run small group sessions tailored to pupil needs.

The ideal candidate will have HLTA status or substantial TA experience, plus a calm, resilient approach and the ability to build strong

Qualifications

• HLTA status or significant experience as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour.
• A calm, resilient, and positive approach.
• The ability to build strong relationships with young people.

Responsabilités

HLTA Required - SEMH Specialist Provision - East Suffolk

We are currently recruiting for experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a supportive specialist education setting working with secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HLTA, experienced Teaching Assistant, or education professional who is passionate about making a positive difference to young people who may have faced barriers to learning.

The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting pupils' educational and personal development. Responsibilities will include covering lessons when required, supporting learning across the curriculum, delivering targeted interventions, and running small group sessions based on the needs of the pupils.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
• Covering lessons when required to ensure continuity of learning
• Delivering intervention programmes and small group activities
• Supporting pupils with engagement, confidence, and progress
• Building positive relationships and providing consistent support
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider support team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• HLTA status or significant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour
• A calm, resilient, and positive approach
• The ability to build strong relationships with young people
