Job summary

Colmore Education Recruitment Ltd in Walsall is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school day. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, working with children with Autism, ADHD and other needs to develop learning and communication skills.

Colmore Education is currently recruiting for a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Walsall.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Support children and young people with Autism, ADHD and other additional needs.
• Assist pupils with their learning and development across the school day.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other members of the school team.
• Adapt your approach to meet individual pupils' needs.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Previous experience working within a school, SEN setting, care environment or with children and young people is desirable. However, transferable experience will also be considered for the right candidate.
