T Level Physics Specialist (Ad-Hoc) — Centre & Online Support

Job summary

Pearson Edexcel is looking to recruit a credible specialist in T Level Sciences (Physics) for an ad-hoc role, approximately 2 days per month across the academic year to support our centres in England.

You will guide centres via visits or remote support, develop teaching resources, and provide expert feedback to inform future Pearson materials and product direction. This panel role involves stakeholder engagement and acting as a pedagogy exemplar.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
• Good subject knowledge in the relevant specialist area: Physics.
• Experience of T Level Science, through teaching, assessment, content development or related work.
• Understanding of Level 3 science education and the application of scientific knowledge and practical skills.
• Ability to review content and provide clear, constructive specialist feedback.
• Experience of T Level Science occupational specialisms.

Responsibilities

• Centre visits/Zoom/telephone support to guide new and existing centres through the T Level Science - Physics qualifications and support materials.
• Creating teaching and learning resources in their title specialism for the Pearson website as required.
• Attending stakeholder meetings/events as appropriate.
• Providing subject expertise and market information back to the product team and subject advisor to inform future developments and support materials.
• Attend meetings with the senior team to advise on training materials, support, resources and any other relevant administration.
• Running online/network/twilight events as appropriate for T Level.
• Engaging with teacher groups on social media and being the voice of Pearson Edexcel in helping to answer customer queries.
• Being a role model for outstanding pedagogy in their specific endorsed title.
