Purpose of the Role

The Content Author is responsible for producing accurate, high-quality assessments aligned with subject specifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure assessment materials comply with policies, accessibility, diversity, and inclusion standards.
• Produce assessment content that thoroughly covers the assessment criteria and is appropriate for the target ability levels.
• Provide subject expertise and feedback throughout the production process.
• Adhere to production schedules and communicate availability and progress to Pearson.
• Review, revise, and sign off assessment materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Strong communication skills.
• Expertise in the relevant content area, assessment, and curriculum development.
• Experience in training, quality assurance, and adherence to standards.

Specific qualifications depend on the qualification area. For vocational qualifications, a minimum of one year of relevant teaching experience within the last 8 years and a UK-recognized teaching qualification are required.
