Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation in Stevenage is seeking a Systems Design Engineer (System Performance) on an initial 6-month contract. Hybrid/onsite work: 4 days per week onsite; rate £75 per hour, 37 hours per week.

You will perform performance prediction using 6-DoF models, MATLAB/Simulink analyses, and contribute to verification/certification across lifecycle stages within missile projects.

Qualifications

• Experience using mathematical models to assess dynamic systems
• Experience with Matlab and Simulink
• Ability to present data clearly to expert and non-expert audiences
• Exposure to aerodynamics, propulsion, guidance and control, RF or IR seeker technology
• Systems engineering experience across lifecycle phases

Responsibilities

• Assess system performance using mathematical models (e.g. 6-DoF).
• Inform requirements and verification across lifecycle phases and gates.
• Generate performance boundary data for launch platforms via modelling.
• Produce final verification evidence for customers at development end.
• Collaborate with SMEs and document engineering results clearly.
