Our System of Quality Management (SoQM) Team is responsible for delivering our ISQM (UK) 1 evaluation requirements, working closely with audit teams and other firmwide functions to embed a culture of continuous improvement. If you're looking for an exciting opportunity to influence audit quality initiatives and work at the heart of audit risk management, this role is for you!

What You'll Do:

  1. Strengthen the firm's System of Quality Management (SoQM) – supporting initiatives that enhance audit quality across the practice.
  2. Deliver ISQM1 monitoring, testing, and evaluation programmes – helping ensure our quality management framework is robust and effective.
  3. Perform testing of controls – identifying gaps and supporting remediation to drive continuous improvement.
  4. Support the design, implementation, and documentation of controls – ensuring processes align with regulatory expectations.
  5. Communicate with key stakeholders – keeping audit teams informed about processes, controls, and audit quality enhancements.
  6. Review and update objectives, risks, and processes – ensuring they remain aligned with the firm's strategic priorities.
  7. Collaborate with other quality and risk teams – working together to deliver a consistent approach to audit quality.
  8. Utilise and maintain digital tools – collecting, analysing, and mapping data on objectives, risks, and controls.
  9. Prepare reports and present insights – supporting leadership decision-making with well-structured reporting and analysis.
  10. Work closely with teams such as RCA, Methodology, and L&D – ensuring alignment and responsiveness to audit quality initiatives.
  11. Champion continual improvement – identifying innovative ways to enhance audit quality processes and efficiency.
  12. Support digital transformation – helping automate and optimise audit quality monitoring and testing.

What You'll Bring:

  1. ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
  2. Audit background with a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape.
  3. Experience with ISQM (UK) 1 is preferred but not essential.
  4. Experience in a professional services environment with exposure to audit risk and quality management.
  5. Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint, with enthusiasm for working with digital tools.
  6. Excellent organisational and project management abilities – capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  7. Ability to handle confidential data professionally and responsibly.
  8. A proactive, solutions-focused approach – confident in suggesting and implementing process improvements.
  9. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills – able to engage with colleagues at all levels.
  10. A team player with a positive and adaptable attitude, aligned with Forvis Mazars' values.
