Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc in Lincoln is seeking a Systems Engineer (Requirements and Test) to join a multi-disciplined Scrum team. You will derive software and system requirements, author tests, and help design features while maintaining strong Systems Engineering discipline within sprints.

The role requires a proactive, detail-focused individual with experience in Requirements, Verification and Configuration Management, and an appreciation of aerospace or aviation environments.

Qualifications

• A methodical approach to work.
• Expert user of Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Understanding of requirements, architecture and verification concepts for software and systems.
• Experience with requirements, verification and configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS, Azure DevOps).
• Proven ability to develop traceable requirements and design.
• Proven ability to develop tests to satisfy requirements.
• Understanding of configuration control principles.

Responsibilities

• Derivation of software and system requirements.
• Development of test procedures to satisfy the derived requirements.
• Assisting in the design and implementation of product features.
• Maintaining solid Systems Engineering principles within a sprint.
• Conduct software and system tests.
