MBDA is seeking Systems Engineers in the UK to work on modelling, algorithm development and systems studies across multiple Seeker programmes. You will contribute to radar propagation models, hardware response and onboard software algorithms, with automatic code generation from models to speed testing and development.

The role offers hybrid working options (on-site 3–5 days/week) and opportunities to engage in field trials, lab testing, and progression within a dynamic, multinational engineering

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in a STEM subject or equivalent experience.
• Modelling and coding with proficiency in MATLAB.
• Algorithm development experience.
• Data analysis and technical report writing.
• Desirable: Advanced MATLAB.
• Proficiency in Simulink including Embedded Coder.
• Formal software/firmware development experience (C/HDL).
• Knowledge of RF systems and digital signal processing.
• Model verification, configuration control and model release processes.
• CI and testing practices.
• Machine learning and AI knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Perform modelling, algorithm development and systems studies.
• Simulate and model the Seeker chain from radar propagation to embedded software algorithms.
• Contribute to field trials and lab testing; collaborate with multi-national teams.
• Guide less experienced engineers and develop leadership skills.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
