Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking a Landing Gear Systems Engineer to join a contract role based in Filton. You will be part of a small, experienced team, defining requirements, performing analyses, and preparing technical documentation to support project milestones.

The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, executing V&V strategies, and delivering progress updates to Engineering Leaders. Degree-level engineering qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
• Systems Engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge/understanding of aircraft systems.

Certain Advantage is hiring for Landing Gear Systems Engineer based in Filton

This role is on a contract basis and is site-based.

The Company

We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and separate Space and Defense division.

The Role

This role is for a Landing Gear Systems Engineer —someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed.

You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Define technical requirements, perform technical analyses, and write plans,
• Critique and validate task planning and regularly update progress reporting for Engineering Leaders.
• Execute V&V strategies, test definition and technical analysis
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Prepare technical documentation to support project milestones, design reviews, etc

The Individual

We’re looking for people who can show:

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
• Systems Engineering experience (preferred)
• Knowledge/understanding of aircraft systems
