Job description

Systems Engineer

Location: Bristol

Travel: Required at the office in Bristol 3 days per week and 2 days remote.

Salary: Up to £53,000 DOE

NUVIA UK's Technical Services & Consulting department is rapidly growing, offering hybrid opportunities across the country. We aim to build a multidisciplinary team to provide our clients with the best talent.

Note: BPSS clearance at basic level is required. Previous clearance is not transferable.

Activities as part of the service:
  1. Produce, review, and update system documentation for hydrogen detection systems, including operator instructions, human-machine interface, safety and environmental specifications, control logic design, and periodic testing, in compliance with engineering rules and quality processes.
  2. Manage interfaces with EDVANCE disciplines involved in radioprotection equipment contracts.
  3. Oversee the design and operation of EPR systems during design, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and design standards.
  4. Ensure proper integration of mechanical diagrams, functional diagrams, and 3D models using relevant tools.
  5. Receive, verify, and challenge modification requests from engineering teams for coherence, necessity, feasibility, and validity.
  6. Participate in experience sharing activities, including operational excellence (OPEX) initiatives across projects.
Technical skills required:
  1. Knowledge of RCC-E electrical regulations and technical reference systems (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909).
  2. Understanding of the nuclear field through education or professional experience.
  3. Experience with processes in industrial energy projects.
  4. Ability to review technical documents.
  5. Experience in radioprotection, instrumentation design, procurement, testing, or installation.
