Overview: The Systems Engineer / Architect, at this grade, applies technical/professional knowledge, making independent and joint judgments based on tried and true practice and significant previous experience relating to identifying opportunities, pursuits, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will work directly with the Business Development team, senior leadership, and engineering teams to drive revenue opportunities.

Experience needed:

• Degree 2.1(Hons) or higher in a relevant discipline in Engineering or related.
• Demonstrable experience of the systems engineering lifecycle.
• Experience with systems architectural design.
• Experience of strategy, planning, and design of complex solutions, as either standalone capability or for integrating in/with other systems.
• Experience in identifying BD growth and development opportunities from internal and external influence.
• Experience of integration strategies and frameworks and tools;
• Excellent, multi-method and tool, Customer/Stakeholder management skills and techniques.
• Proactive implementation of a joint discipline and business-aligned approach for engineering solutions.
• Ability to define and realize technical/capability demonstration solutions, optimizing COTS/OTS equipment and demonstrating to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support external engagement with travel to both customer and supplier meetings, as required.
• Demonstrate their role in ensuring and assuring the initial on-contract phases up to and including the Systems Design Review (Architecture definition).

Important: Due to the nature of the role, all candidates will need to be prepared to undertake DV clearance and therefore as a minimum be living in the UK for 10 years.

Site Location: All applicants must be located locally, or able to relocate to the client site based in the Berkshire area (Relocation assistance available *T&C's apply).
