Job summary

VIQU IT is seeking a Systems Engineer for a 6-Month Contract based in Sunderland to support a large global organisation. The role focuses on 3rd line queries across IT infrastructure and end-user computing, with responsibilities spanning Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Intune and IAM environments.

You will work in an ITIL-aligned setup and participate in infrastructure projects and migrations. The candidate should have strong experience with Active Directory, Hyper-V/VMware, Entra ID or Okta,

Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 / Office 365 / Intune / Exchange Online knowledge required.
• Windows Server administration experience needed.
• Active Directory management essential.
• Hyper-V or VMware experience, ideally HCI infrastructure.
• Entra ID or Okta identity platforms familiarity beneficial.
• Basic networking knowledge required.
• Storage, Disaster Recovery and Backup experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line technical and infrastructure support across infrastructure, networking and end-user computing.
• Maintain and support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Intune, Okta and IAM environments.
• Provide technical support for infrastructure and migration projects, including server, platform and legacy on-premises file server migrations.
• Work with internal IT teams in an ITIL-based environment, documenting solutions and implementing changes.

Systems Engineer

6-Month Contract - Outside IR35 - Based in Sunderland

VIQU are looking for a Systems Engineer to support a large global organisation and maintain their range of IT infrastructure and systems across the business.

You will be working in their Infrastructure team supporting them with 3rd line queries covering both BAU activities and supporting in Projects

Systems Administrator Experience/Skillset requirements:

• Microsoft 365 / Office 365 / Intune / Exchange Online
• Windows Server
• Active Directory
• Hyper-V or VMware ideally HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastrucutre)
• Entra ID or Okta
• Basic Networking knowledge
• Any Storage, Disaster Recovery and Backup experience would be beneficial

Systems Administrator Responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd Line technical and infrastructure support, resolving complex escalated incidents across infrastructure, networking and end-user computing environments.
• Maintain and support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Intune, Okta and Identity & Access Management (IAM) environments.
• Provide technical support for infrastructure and migration projects, including server, platform and legacy on-premises file server migrations.
• Work closely with internal IT teams in an ITIL-based environment, contributing to projects, documenting solutions and implementing technical changes.

The System Engineer must be able to commit to being onsite in Sunderland 2 days per week.
