Job summary

Zenovo is seeking a Systems/Requirements Engineer in Horsham for an onsite role. You will define and manage requirements across engineering programmes to ensure customer, operational, and contractual needs are translated into clear, testable specifications throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires MBSE and tool experience (DOORS, DOORS Next, Polarion, Jama) and a strong background in defence/aerospace environments, with cooperation across project teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in defence, aerospace, military, or complex engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, requirements traceability, and verification methodologies.
• Experience with MBSE and DOORS/Jama style tools.
• Knowledge of configuration management and lifecycle processes (change control).

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyse, and manage system, customer, and operational requirements.
• Maintain requirements traceability, baselines, and configuration control.
• Support system design, integration, verification, validation, and acceptance testing.
• Ensure compliance with defence standards and contractual requirements.

Role Purpose

Responsible for defining, managing, and maintaining requirements across engineering programmes, ensuring customer, operational, and contractual needs are translated into clear, testable, and traceable engineering specifications throughout the system lifecycle.

Required Experience

• Requirements engineering experience within defence, aerospace, military, or complex engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, requirements traceability, and verification methodologies.
• Experience with MBSE, IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, Polarion, Jama, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of configuration management, change control, and engineering lifecycle processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 and relevant defence standards desirable.
• INCOSE or IREB certification and MBSE experience advantageous.
