As a Systems Engineer you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex products in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are seeking a proactive and inquisitive individual with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work across disciplines to ensure the success of our projects.

Location

This role will be based in our Cambridge R&D Facility.

Job Role and Responsibilities

• Hands‑On Skills: Utilise hands‑on skills to build, test, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Inquisitive and Questioning: Demonstrate curiosity and the ability to ask critical questions to ensure a deep understanding of project requirements.
• Separation of Concerns and System Decomposition: Break down complex systems into manageable components, ensuring clear separation of concerns and facilitating efficient system design.
• Designing Experiments to Isolate Root Cause: Develop testing strategies and protocols to isolate root causes of system issues and drive effective problem resolution.
• Understanding Data: Analyse and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations for system improvements.
• Requirements & DFMEA: Work closely with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements and perform Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to identify potential risks and weaknesses in the system.
• CAD & Modelling: Utilize Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) software and modelling tools to create detailed system designs and prototypes.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
