Descripción del empleo

Join our dynamic and growing Systems Engineering team based at the Chess Dynamics Office in Plymouth. You will be instrumental in the development, integration and testing of high-performance targeting and surveillance equipment for the Sea Eagle Naval Systems Products.

Our product portfolio ranges from low-TRL concept demonstrator systems with high levels of technical risk and a short development life cycle; to repeat orders of our hugely successful and proven suite of electro-optical surveillance and tracking systems.

You will be responsible for undertaking the Systems Engineering activities as part of one or more multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring from the systems perspective that mechanical, electrical and software design aspects are coherent and ultimately the system meets the customer need.

You will enjoy the challenges of system complexity and conflicting requirements and have a keen eye for detail. You will be given the opportunity to play a leading role in the delivery of projects with significant levels of responsibility over project risks, cost, and schedule.

As a member of the Naval Systems Team, you will be required to work onboard Naval Platforms for the conduct of system Installation Inspections, commissioning and acceptance activities; which includes Setting To Work, Harbour and Sea Acceptance Trials with the customer/end user. Sea Safety Training is mandatory as part of this requirement and will be provided and funded by Chess for the successful candidate.
