The Cleveland Division of Police is seeking a Systems Analyst to train users, document processes, build reports, and conduct usability testing while maintaining and improving systems.
Responsibilities include assisting in systems design and implementation, handling technical issues, and contributing to special projects as needed to support city operations.
Systems Analyst
Associate's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited college, university, or vocational school preferred. Two years of any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking.
Under supervision, performs computer systems design, implementation, management, and/or control tasks. Assists in, or performs, special project work as assigned. Troubleshoots computer system problems and provides other technical assistance as needed. Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited college, university, or vocational school is required. One year of relevant full-time experience in the set-up and configuration of personal computers in a networking environment (Novell and/or Microsoft NT) (may include unpaid internships) is required. Valid state of Ohio Driver's License is required. WATER (CONTROL SYSTEMS) - High School Diploma or GED is required. An Associate's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited college, university, or vocational school is required. One year of relevant full-time paid experience in the design/set-up, configuration, and maintenance of process computer control systems is required. (Substitution: One year of related experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking.) Valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required. Instrumentation Society of Automation (ISA) certification is preferred.
