Job summary

A Systems Accountant is sought to join the finance team, shaping financial reporting and analytics. The role spans reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and automation to improve data quality and decision-making across the business.

You will work with Finance, IT, and Data teams to transform how financial information is captured, analysed and reported, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate insights. The position offers hybrid working and exposure to modern tooling.

Qualifications

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Experience in Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, BI, Reporting or Transformation.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using Power BI to create reporting/visualisation solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance financial reporting, dashboards, and BI solutions.
Produce monthly management reports, group reporting submissions, and financial analysis.
Create recurring reports, reconciliations, and data extracts for business needs.
Support reporting solutions within SAP, SAC, Power BI, M365 and Copilot.
Provide reporting and analytical support to finance stakeholders.

Reporting to: Head of Financial Reporting & Analytics

We're looking for a talented and forward-thinking Systems Accountant to join our Finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, technology, reporting, and business intelligence. You'll play a key role in developing financial reporting capabilities, improving data quality, enhancing systems, and driving automation initiatives that support better decision-making across the business.

Working closely with Finance, IT, and Data teams, you'll help transform how financial information is captured, analysed, and reported, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate and meaningful insights.

What You'll Be Doing

Financial Reporting & Business Intelligence

Develop and enhance financial reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
Produce monthly management reports, group reporting submissions, and financial analysis.
Create recurring reports, reconciliations, and data extracts to support business requirements.
Support the development and maintenance of reporting solutions within SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, Microsoft 365 and Copilot.
Provide valuable reporting and analytical support to finance stakeholders across the organisation.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes through robust reporting and data analysis.
Develop and maintain planning models, reporting templates, and supporting datasets.
Assist with scenario modelling, trend analysis, and management information requirements.
Ensure consistency and integrity of data used across budgeting and forecasting activities.

Finance Systems & Data Management

Support the ongoing development and optimisation of Finance systems and reporting platforms.
Maintain datasets, master data structures, reporting models, and data governance standards.
Collaborate with Finance, IT, Data and European teams on reporting enhancements and system improvements.
Support testing, implementation, and validation of system upgrades and new functionality.
Contribute to key Finance transformation and digital improvement projects.

Process Improvement & Automation

Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting and finance processes.
Reduce manual intervention through the development of efficient reporting solutions.
Create and maintain process documentation and user guidance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting quality.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Experience within a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, Business Intelligence, Financial Reporting or Finance Transformation role.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using Power BI to create reporting and visualisation solutions.
Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
Knowledge of SQL or similar data extraction and reporting tools.
Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) would be beneficial.
Experience supporting reporting automation, systems improvements, or finance transformation projects.
