Job summary

Addition is seeking a Finance technology leader in Watford to shape a major transformation programme. You will drive the SAP ECC to S/4HANA move and align finance platforms, processes and governance with business goals.

You will partner with senior Finance and Technology stakeholders, translating challenges into actionable roadmaps, delivering across a broad tech stack and ensuring measurement of benefits and adoption. This role is largely onsite with three days per week in Watford.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Finance systems transformation in complex environments.
• Proven SAP Finance ECC to S/4HANA discovery and transformation planning.
• Experience with Finance tech and reporting platforms (Datasphere, SAC, SuccessFactors, Treasury, Coupa, Medius).
• Strong understanding of record-to-report, procure-to-pay, cash management and forecasting.

• Lead design and discovery for SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and future-state support.
• Convert improvement initiatives into prioritised, actionable plans with process owners.

• Improve data stability and reporting across Finance systems and Datasphere.

Role Overview

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with the Head of Finance Systems to shape and deliver an 18-month Finance systems and transformation roadmap, bringing together platforms, processes and business priorities.
• Lead Finance design and discovery for the move from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, ensuring the future-state solution supports business needs, controls, reporting and operational readiness.
• Turn existing Finance improvement initiatives into practical, prioritised plans by working with process owners to understand challenges, define target operating models and agree meaningful requirements.
• Drive delivery across a varied portfolio of Finance technology and process improvements, including SAP, Datasphere, SAC, SuccessFactors, Treasury, Coupa, Medius and payment platforms.
• Improve the stability and performance of Finance data and reporting, ensuring Datasphere supports reliable SAC planning, forecasting and Trust and Commercial Finance reporting.
• Strengthen the connection between workforce, payroll and Finance data, improving visibility and supporting more effective financial planning.
• Lead improvements across Treasury, cash management and payments, alongside procure-to-pay processes, supplier data governance and system integrations.
• Shape the replacement of Time Capture and identify wider opportunities to simplify Finance processes, reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Establish strong Finance design governance, ensuring investment decisions and solution designs are aligned with business outcomes, controls, data standards and the wider S/4HANA strategy.
• Lead Finance through the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, UAT, cutover, training, adoption and transition into business-as-usual operations.
• Act as the key link between Finance and Technology, resolving dependencies, challenging technical decisions and ensuring the right delivery and SME resources are in place.
• Track benefits and outcomes, ensuring transformation delivers measurable improvements rather than simply achieving technical go-live.

Main Skills Needed

• Strong experience leading Finance systems transformation, architecture or design across complex business environments.
• Proven knowledge of SAP Finance, including ECC and S/4HANA, with experience supporting system discovery, design and transformation planning.
• Experience across Finance technology and reporting platforms, ideally including Datasphere, SAC, SuccessFactors, Treasury, Coupa, Medius and payment solutions.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, cash management, planning, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Ability to translate business challenges into clear requirements, target operating models and prioritised transformation roadmaps.
• Experience leading cross-functional delivery, managing dependencies and coordinating Finance, Technology and external delivery teams.
• A solid understanding of Finance controls, reconciliations, master data, reporting integrity and governance.
• Experience managing testing, UAT, cutover, business readiness, training, adoption and benefits realisation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence and bring Finance and Technology teams together.
• A commercially minded approach, focused on business outcomes, sustainable improvements and measurable value.
