Job summary

This 12-month full-time post with NELFT's Mid Essex Mental Health Support Team combines employment with postgraduate study towards a King's College London Postgraduate Diploma. Trainees split the week between academic study and supervised clinical work with children, young people and families, delivering evidence-based interventions in systemic family practice for conduct disorder and depression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (2:2 UK) in Psychology or related subject.
• Registerable professional qualification in psychology, social work, mental health nursing, occupational therapy, or art/music therapy.
• Access to a vehicle and ability to travel independently for work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to children, young people and families under supervision.
• Complete supervised clinical work within the service across schools and community settings.
• Undertake academic study and independent learning at King's College London, two and a half days a week.
• Meet the programme's assessment and independent learning requirements alongside clinical practice and supervision.
• Travel independently across the Mid Essex area and to King's College London's Denmark Hill campus, where attendance is mandatory.
