SSEN Transmission in Scotland is seeking a System Planning and Investment Engineer to join the System Optimisation Team. You will develop and apply optimisation models to the North Scotland transmission network, enabling low-carbon generation integration and supporting system security studies.
You will work with planning, outage, operations, and project teams, use PSSE/PowerFactory for model validation, and communicate results clearly to stakeholders and regulators.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for power system planning to integrate low‑carbon generation and related technologies into the North Scotland transmission network.
