Anglian Water Group is hiring a System Planner to join the Water Asset Delivery Planning team. You will build Dynamic System Plans and collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks and investments from source to tap.

You will lead workshops, analyse data from multiple sources, and help shape WRMP/PR29 plans. A driving licence and strong communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience using Excel, PowerBi and ideally investment costing programmes, such as Copperleaf C55.
  • You must be a pro-active self-starter able to work within guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills essential for stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced data reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of the Water industry would be desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • An appreciation of safe operation and design.

Responsibilities

  • Build Dynamic System Plans for water assets from source to tap to identify risks and investment opportunities.
  • Lead workshops with stakeholders to gather data from systems and site visits.
  • Provide resolution strategies based on data analyses and stakeholder input.
  • Support regulatory requirements to produce Water Resource Management Plan and PR29 Business Plan.

Salary: £45,000 depending on skills and experience
Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week (With options for part-time)

Our AMP 8 business plan will deliver £9billion of essential investment in the east of England. It was created in consultation with our customers, and it balances ambition and affordability. It will create over 7,000 jobs and meet the unique challenges facing our fast growing and climate stressed region, helping the East of England to thrive and prosper. To turn this plan into action, this role is vital within our Asset Delivery Planning team to make the investments and improvements outlined in the business plan happen by further developing them with stakeholders and construction delivery partners.

What you will be doing?

As a System Planner, within the Water Asset Delivery Planning team, your key purpose will be to build relationships with stakeholders by identifying current and future risks, and investment opportunities. You will provide effective resolutions, by using information from data systems, site visits and stakeholder workshops. You will also create Dynamic System Plans which help identify future investments to mitigate these risks, understand business and regulatory requirements to ensure investments are providing optimum benefit.

Key tasks include:
  • Creating and maintaining 'Dynamic System Plans', as a system of physical assets, from 'source to tap'. Dynamic System Plans encompass all water assets and activities from abstraction, treatment, distribution and supply through to the customer's tap.
  • Strategically bring together key stakeholders and capture data from corporate systems and site visits to provide risk and cost information to support investment planning process.
  • Leading workshops with various stakeholders to understand current and future risks and identifying how these might be resolved.
  • Generate initial root cause statements, evaluation of risks and creation of solutions to produce investments from the system plan for prioritisation.
  • Working with key stakeholders and business experts to support regulatory requirements to produce a Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP) and the PR29 Business Plan.
  • Working with safety in mind for yourself, your stakeholders and the assets under your care
What does it take to be a System Planner?
