Job summary

MBDA Bristol is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join the RF Seekers Team. You will transform customer requirements into system architectures and drive V-model verification and validation within a collaborative, high-performance environment.

The role offers hybrid working with on-site presence typically 4–5 days per week, and opportunities for UK and international travel to MBDA sites and trial locations.

Qualifications

• Experience deriving and managing requirements.
• Ability to create Functional and Physical Architecture using SysML/Arcadia or MBSE language.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
• Familiarity with DOORS/DOORS Next/Rhapsody/Capella.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave, radar and signal processing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into system architectures and requirements.
• Collaborate across development activities within the RF Seeker team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our RF Seekers Team. This is a phenomenal opportunity to be part of a successful team working at the forefront of technology, developing new and innovative seeker solutions from complex requirements.

Salary

Circa £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working

typically 4 to 5 days per week on site

The opportunity:

The Systems Design team is critical to the product development process, transforming customer requirements into lower level system architectures (Physical and Functional) and system requirements. The role covers the majority of the Systems Engineering V model, negotiating requirements with the missile systems customer through to the verification and validation process; you will gain a detailed understanding of RF Seeker design as well as building experience working with capable teams across all development activities.

You will be part of a close-knit, hardworking, and highly motivated team striving to develop one of the world's most advanced Seeker and Missile technologies. You will play a crucial role in this innovative development, witnessing the impact of your dedication and effort as the product is effectively deployed for use by the armed forces.

There will be opportunities for travel both within the UK and internationally to other MBDA sites and trial locations.

What we're looking for from you:

• Experience with deriving and managing requirements,
• Experience with generating Functional and Physical Architecture using SysML, ARCADIA, or similar MBSE language,
• Experience with Model based Systems Engineering,
• Experience with Systems engineering tools like DOORS / DOORS Next / Rhapsody / Capella desirable,
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink desirable,
• Knowledge of RF/microwave and electronic systems, radar and control systems, and digital signal processing is desirable,
