Job Description

Are you an experienced Systems Engineer ready to tackle exciting challenges in the defence and marine sectors? At ALTEN, you'll work on cutting-edge submarine systems, driving innovation and delivering solutions for mission-critical projects. Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver full-lifecycle systems engineering, working across the V-Model to develop, test, and validate advanced solutions.
2. Define and manage system requirements, ensuring seamless alignment with project goals and performance criteria.
3. Collaborate on subsystem integration for complex electronics systems in submarine platforms.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve system-level challenges to meet demanding operational standards.
5. Support testing and validation, ensuring systems perform reliably under challenging conditions.

Location: Portsmouth, with a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, particularly in defence or marine industries.
2. Expertise in V-Model development and full lifecycle engineering.
3. Strong understanding of electronics and experience with submarine systems or equivalent technologies.
4. Sole British citizenship with eligibility for security clearance.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Desirable Skills:

1. Knowledge of mission-critical communications and intelligent systems.
2. Experience in sectors such as defence, aerospace, nuclear, or other regulated industries.
3. Familiarity with tools for requirements management and system modelling.
