Job summary

GXO Logistics in Northampton is seeking a Systems & Data Specialist to join our high-volume retail operation. You will be the first point of contact for digital partners and managers regarding inventory process issues, and you will act as a DLX and WMS/WCS user for all inventory functions.

This role requires an analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders. Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation is expected.

Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for a Systems & Data Specialist to join our new high-volume retail operation in Northampton.

This is a full‑time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, either 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00. Flexibility will be required to support a 24/7 operation when needed, this is logistics after all!

Pay, benefits and more:

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £39,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • First point of contact for digital partners and managers regarding any issues relating to inventory processes within the operations.
  • Be a strong and experienced DLX, WMS/WCS User for all inventory functions, with the ability to transfer knowledge and experience to other colleagues.
  • Escalate any issues within the Inventory Department to the Stock & System Manager
  • Analyse warehouse management system data and be conversant with the reports available
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience working in a warehouse inventory systems-focused role, ideally in a fast-moving retail operation
  • Strong understanding of processes and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret data and trends
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships across internal teams and customer stakeholders
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
