Job summary

Square One has an exciting contract opportunity for a System Architect in London, working on production-domain architecture for automotive systems. The role focuses on defining SUT architecture across hardware, software and test environments, translating requirements into testable system specs, and ensuring production readiness.

The ideal candidate has multiple years in Automotive Systems Engineering, ECU/System Architecture and Validation Engineering, and will collaborate to enable SIL/HIL/EOL

Qualifications

• Multiple years in Automotive Systems Engineering, ECU/System Architecture, and Validation Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the System Under Test (SUT) architecture across hardware, software, and test environments through the product life cycle.
• Translate product and system requirements into complete, consistent, and testable system requirements.
• Define ECU architectures supporting integration, validation, manufacturing, and production readiness.
• Ensure architecture provides observability, controllability, diagnosability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with validation teams to enable SIL, HIL, and EOL testing.
• Define requirements for flashing, provisioning, diagnostics, fault detection, and production ramp-up.
• Specify interfaces between ECU, vehicle networks, test systems, and manufacturing systems.
• Act as a cross-functional technical leader across system engineering, software, validation, and industrialization teams.

Location: London 1/2x days a week

Salary/Rate: £600 - 650 Inside IR35

Start Date: In the next two weeks

Job Type: Initial 2-month contract

Required:
