Job description

MBDA is seeking a Weapon System Architect responsible for supporting the creation of architectural artifacts within the Dragonfire Weapon System boundary.

Salary: Circa £53,000, dependent on experience.

Working arrangement: Hybrid, 3-4 days on-site per week based on workload.

Security clearance: Must be a British Citizen. Post-offer, candidates will undergo BPSS checks managed by MBDA's Security Team.

Program overview:

Dragonfire is a cutting-edge weapon system development project focusing on Laser Directed Energy Weapons (LDEW). The program has achieved notable success with recent trials and aims to develop a deployable, world-class air defense system.

Candidate requirements:

• Experience in architecting complex systems and MBSE practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to learn quickly and handle complex, uncertain problems
• Proficiency with Rhapsody, SysML, IBM Engineering Workflow Management, and ideally DOORS NG

Preferred experience includes managing system requirements, supporting requirement flow-down, risk management, technical mediation, and knowledge of laser systems.
