Our client is looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to join their expanding organization that powers some of the world’s most important applications in healthcare, finance, and government. The company is privately held, headquartered in the UK & the USA, with offices worldwide. Their software products are used daily by millions across more than 100 countries, with a team of 200+ in the UK and 1,800 globally.

You will be based in their new prestigious office, a short walk from Windsor train station, working in the office 3 days per week due to the company's great culture and office environment.

Your role will involve designing cage, rack, and server layouts, ensuring space, power, and cooling provisions, and collaborating with engineering/architecting teams to optimize performance, efficiency, and operability of hosted solutions.

As a senior Linux System Administrator, you will support all hosted services, ensure timely incident resolution, and deploy approved changes and updates.

The core technical environment includes:

• Linux deployment and management experience with RHEL
• Puppet for automation (experience with Ansible, Chef is a plus)
• VMware 6 deployment and management (hundreds of virtual servers)

Working in a mission-critical production environment requires experience with live systems. Troubleshooting, proactive problem detection, and ensuring zero downtime are essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading deployment of applications and changes with proper documentation and monitoring
• Hands-on administration of hosted solutions, firewalls, switches, servers, and storage
• Providing technical support for hosted services
• Provisioning and deploying server, network, and hosting equipment
• Collaborating with stakeholders for sign-offs throughout the solution lifecycle
