Our client is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to join their expanding organization that powers critical applications in healthcare, finance, and government. The company is privately held, headquartered in the UK & USA, with worldwide offices, and their software is used daily by millions across more than 100 countries. They have over 200 employees in the UK and 1,800 globally.

You will work in their new, prestigious office near Windsor train station, with a flexible in-office schedule of 3 days per week due to the company's vibrant culture.

Your responsibilities will include designing server layouts, ensuring space, power, and cooling, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize performance and efficiency of hosted solutions.

As a senior Linux System Administrator, you will support all hosted services, resolve incidents promptly, and deploy approved updates.

The core technical environment:

• Linux deployment and management experience with RHEL
• Automation using Puppet, with experience in Ansible or Chef preferred
• VMware 6 deployment and management experience, handling hundreds of virtual servers

Working in a mission-critical environment, you must have experience with live production systems, troubleshooting proactively to prevent downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Lead deployment of applications and changes, ensuring documentation and monitoring
• Administer and maintain hosted solutions, including firewalls, switches, servers, and storage
• Provide technical support across hosted services
• Provision and deploy server and network equipment, including hands-on configuration
• Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain pre-operational sign-offs
