Systems Administrator

Location: Coventry, CV4 8JP

Contract type: 3 months fixed‑term contract, Full Time

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am‑5pm

Salary: £12.50 - £13.00 DOE

About the role

We're currently seeking a proactive and technically confident Administrator to support our client's systems team in Coventry. This short‑term but impactful role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our Time & Attendance (T&A) system while we implement improvements and transition to a new way of working. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on position where you'll act as a key support function to their Contract Managers and operational teams. Full training on the system will be provided, and once up to speed, hybrid working (60/40 split) may be available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administering the Time & Attendance (T&A) system, including password resets and setting up new users.
  • Managing and resolving queries relating to joiners, movers and leavers.
  • Investigating system discrepancies and supporting colleagues to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manually overriding submitted hours and rescheduling work when required.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for Contract Managers using the system daily, triaging issues and escalating where appropriate.
  • Supporting operational teams with clear communication and professional handling of requests.
  • Assisting with general administrative duties to ensure accurate, up‑to‑date system information.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an administrative or system‑support role.
  • Strong IT literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly (full training provided).
  • Confident communicating with suppliers, colleagues, customers and operational teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • A self‑starter with the ability to use initiative, logically investigate issues and solve problems.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Coventry full‑time initially while training, with hybrid working available once competent.
