Job description

As a global leader in Civil Aviation training, our Business Aviation Training Division is undergoing an exciting period of expansion, and we now have several full-time openings for Synthetic Flight Instructors based at our Burgess Hill (West Sussex) Training Centre. If you're a Professional Pilot seeking a new career path, have a training background, and are passionate about training, we would love to hear from you!

The role we are offering

We are seeking instructors for various platforms including Falcon, Gulfstream, Citation, and Challenger. We will enhance your existing aviation experience and develop you into a world-class Synthetic Flight Instructor and subject matter expert, capable of leading clients through their training — all with the benefit of spending less time away from home.
You will collaborate with our client partners, providing expert Synthetic Flight instruction. Some classroom-based instruction and the maintenance of accurate trainee records will also be required. You will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art synthetic training equipment and the latest aircraft technologies.

Our ideal candidate has
  • Held a UK, EASA, or ICAO equivalent licence
  • 1500+ hours of total multi-pilot time or 500+ hours of single-pilot hours
  • Recent instructional experience; TRI/TRE/SFI/SFE or teaching experience is desirable
  • Experience operating within a business aviation environment on the specified platforms is highly desirable but not essential
  • A keen eye for detail in training delivery, with a commitment to maintaining accurate and timely records in line with CAE policies
  • Ability to tailor training sessions to diverse customer needs
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • High-level English speaking, reading, and conversational skills
  • Flexibility for a 5-day-on / 2-days-off work schedule
  • Residency within a 1-hour drive or 30 miles of Burgess Hill, or willingness to arrange local accommodation
  • The right to live and work in the UK or EU
What kind of person will succeed in this team?

You will thrive on mentoring and developing colleagues from diverse backgrounds and be passionate about delivering high-quality training. A strong customer focus and ability to create a welcoming, productive training environment are essential.

Location

The position is based at our Burgess Hill Training Centre, requiring a commitment to work onsite five days per week. Please note that a training bond, determined by experience and ratings, applies to this role.
