Job description

The Synergist Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting ongoing data cleansing and system optimisation projects within Synergist. This fixed-term contract role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of a core business system. The role involves coordinating cleansing initiatives, collaborating with teams across the business, and implementing updates directly within Synergist.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Systems Management:
    • Coordinate and track the progress of all Synergist data cleansing projects, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
    • Liaise with stakeholders to clarify data ownership and resolve inconsistencies.
    • Action updates directly in Synergist, including client records, project codes, time tracking categories, resource data, and billing structures.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of changes made and processes followed.
    • Flag and escalate issues requiring strategic or technical input.
    • Assist with setting up new or amended system conventions, naming standards, or reporting structures as needed.
  2. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Support ad hoc reporting based on Synergist data.
  3. Data Integrity and Security:
    • Coordinate and communicate an audit schedule once cleansing is complete.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Work closely with finance and other stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for system processes and best practices.
    • Capture, document, and maintain data flow processes.
  5. User Training & Support:
    • Provide basic support for users following system changes resulting from the work undertaken.
  6. Compliance and Regulation:
    • Ensure financial systems are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience working with Synergist or similar software is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable making structured data changes within a live system environment.
  • Good at working collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience in operations, data administration, or systems coordination is preferred.
