Job summary

Lloyd’s Insurance Market is seeking an experienced Syndicate Finance Contractor to support the finance and financial reporting activities of two Lloyd’s syndicates. The role focuses on year-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and board reporting.

Desirable experience includes WDesk, Phinsys and AI Copilot, with a strong background in UK GAAP and Lloyd’s reporting to ensure accurate, compliant financial statements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting knowledge across insurance and reinsurance.
• Understanding of UK GAAP, Solvency II/UK and Lloyd’s reporting.
• Experience with Lloyd’s syndicate accounting and direct settlement.
• Ability to understand transactions from underwriting systems through to the general ledger.

Responsibilities

• Support year-end accounts and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support ULAE, Situs and Standard Formula workings.
• Prepare Board schedules and reporting papers.
• Assist with audit requirements, reconciliations and supporting evidence.
• Improve finance processes, documentation and automation.
