Heathcoat Fabrics Limited in Tiverton is seeking a Process Operative to operate the required production machinery and ensure fabric is processed safely to plan and standard. The role supports the Synchrotec department, working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential.

The Department and the Role

Our Synchrotec department processes fabrics mainly for the automotive industry. Our processes involve washing and drying fabric followed by chemical treatment applications using our production machinery. The final product received by our customers allows them to bond rubber to the fabric which is primarily turned into timing belts in vehicles.
As Process Operative you will operate the necessary production machinery to ensure that fabric is processed in a safe manner according to the production plan and to the required standard as set out in the department documentation, policies, and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• An understanding of Health and Safety principles within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative.
• Good attention and eye for detail with ability to spot faults ranging in size and colour.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative.
• A desire to learn and develop.
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential.
