Job Opportunity: Swim Teacher

Location: Various Locations in North Lanarkshire, ML1 1AB

Salary: £27,301 - £29,180 per year

Contract Type: Permanent

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role

Are you a qualified Swim Teacher seeking a new opportunity? Join the Aquatics team across North Lanarkshire’s swimming pools to ensure the safe operation of the swimming lesson programme. You will teach and develop lessons for groups and individuals, aligned with the Scottish Swimming’s Learn to Swim Framework.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have experience working in a leisure facility or environment and possess the following minimum qualification:

  • Willingness to undertake a conversion course if holding an ASA/UKCC Level 1 or equivalent qualification.

Additionally, you should understand health and safety requirements in the leisure industry, demonstrate a team player attitude, work independently, and possess excellent communication and customer care skills. Flexibility with working hours is essential.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidates must obtain PVG membership through Disclosure Scotland.

Working Pattern
  • Monday: 9.30am to 12.15pm, 12.45pm to 2.15pm, 3.15pm to 6.15pm (7 hrs 15 mins)
  • Tuesday: 9.30am to 11.45am, 12.45pm to 2.45pm, 3.15pm to 6.45pm (7 hrs 45 mins)
  • Wednesday: 9.15am to 11.45am, 12.15pm to 2.45pm, 3.15pm to 6.15pm (8 hrs)
  • Thursday: 9.15am to 11.30am, 12.30pm to 2.45pm, 3.15pm to 6.45pm (8 hrs)
  • Friday: 12.15pm to 4.15pm (4 hrs)
