Job Opportunity: Qualified Swim Teacher

Grade: NLC6 - £27,301 - £29,180

Hours: 35 hours per week

Locations: Time Capsule, Coatbridge & Sir Matt Busby Sports Centre, Bellshill

Are you a qualified Swim Teacher seeking a new opportunity? Join the Aquatics team across North Lanarkshire's Swimming Pools to ensure the safe operation of the swimming lesson programme, teaching and developing lessons for various levels within the Scottish Swimming's Learn to Swim Framework.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Scottish Swimming Teacher qualification (SSTQ)
  • or ASA/UKCC Level 1 Teachers qualification in swimming or equivalent

You must be willing to undertake the required conversion course if you hold an existing ASA/UKCC Level 1 or equivalent qualification. Additionally, you should have understanding and experience of health and safety requirements within the leisure industry, excellent communication and customer care skills, and the ability to work flexibly. A team player attitude and the ability to work independently are essential.

Successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.

Working Pattern:

  • Monday: 9.30am - 12.15pm, 12.45pm - 2.15pm, 3.15pm - 6.15pm
  • Tuesday: 9.30am - 11.45am, 12.45pm - 2.45pm, 3.15pm - 6.45pm
  • Wednesday: 9.15am - 11.45am, 12.15pm - 2.45pm, 3.15pm - 6.15pm
  • Thursday: 9.15am - 11.30am, 12.30pm - 2.45pm, 3.15pm - 6.45pm
  • Friday: 12.15pm - 4.15pm
