Job summary

Your Trust in Heywood is seeking a Casual Swimming Teacher to deliver high-quality swimming lessons across all ages. You will work as part of the Your Trust Swim Academy, following STA guidance to ensure safe, enjoyable sessions.

This role offers casual hours and a pro-rata annual salary when applicable, with DBS checks and supportive training provided. The position welcomes candidates with a passion for health and fitness, strong communication, and the ability to work within a team to achieve

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 2 STA Swimming Teachers Award or equivalent; full training provided for right candidate.
• Experience teaching swimming across ages and levels.
• Hold NRASTC or NPLQ qualification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons in line with STA guidance.
• Provide high quality service to customers of Your Trust Swim Academy.
• Work with a team to maintain safety and quality standards.

Salary: Band 3, £29,877 per annum (pro-rate for part time hours) / £15.49 per hour

What will my role be as a Swimming Teacher - Casual

The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient and high quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes delivering swimming lessons, in line with STA Guidance, to a range of learners from babies to adults as part of the Your Trust Swim Academy.

What do I need to have?

• Qualified to Level 2 STA Swimming Teachers Award or Certificate or Swim England Qualification Level 2 Teaching Swimming - however for the right candidate full training and qualification will be provided
• Experience of teaching swimming at a variety of levels and with all ages
• Hold National Rescue Test for Swimming Teachers (NRASTC) or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
• Friendly, outgoing person who has excellent communication skills with both children and adults
• Ability to follow laid down procedures, work under pressure and without constant supervision
• Ability to work within a team with common objectives.
• Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
