Job summary

Your Trust in Heywood, Rochdale area, is seeking a part-time Swimming Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons at Heywood Sports Village. The role offers Band 3 pay of £29,877 per year (pro-rata for part-time) and requires Level 2 STA or Swim England qualification, with 14.5 hours per week.

You will join a friendly team, teaching swimmers from babies to adults while ensuring safe practice and adherence to STA guidance within the Your Trust Swim Academy.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 2 STA Swimming Teachers Award or Swim England Level 2 Teaching qualification
• Experience teaching swimming at various levels and ages
• Hold NRASTC or NPLQ
• Friendly, outgoing with excellent communication with children and adults
• Ability to follow procedures, work under pressure and with limited supervision
• Team player with shared objectives
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

What will my role be as a Swimming Teacher

The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient and high quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes delivering swimming lessons, in line with STA Guidance, to a range of learners from babies to adults as part of the Your Trust Swim Academy.

What do I need to have?

• Qualified to Level 2 STA Swimming Teachers Award or Certificate or Swim England Qualification Level 2 Teaching Swimming - however for the right candidate full training and qualification will be provided
• Experience of teaching swimming at a variety of levels and with all ages
• Hold National Rescue Test for Swimming Teachers (NRASTC) or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
• Friendly, outgoing person who has excellent communication skills with both children and adults
• Ability to follow laid down procedures, work under pressure and without constant supervision
• Ability to work within a team with common objectives.
• Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
