Job description

GLL is currently looking for swimming teachers based in York. Join us as a swimming teacher and play a key role in developing our customers' swimming skills. This is your chance to deliver safe, consistent swimming lessons that give people real confidence in the water – and an invaluable life skill.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a positive image of the Centre by providing a welcoming, helpful, and professional poolside service.
2. Comply with the ‘Customer Charter’ and ensure standards are maintained.
3. Ensure the safety and control of pupils during lessons and enforce relevant regulations.
4. Encourage pupils to enroll in further courses and assist with enrollments as required.
5. Follow the Safeguarding Policy, Behaviour Policy, and record relevant awards.
6. Teach according to the standards set within the product manual to ensure consistency across centres.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Approachable, friendly, patient, and able to build trust with pupils.
• STA Award or Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualification.
• Knowledge of health, safety, legislation, and Child Protection Policy.
